Dietary supplements are regulated differently
In the United States, dietary supplements are not subject to the pre-market approval process that applies to pharmaceutical drugs. Any badge or claim suggesting a supplement is "FDA approved" is inaccurate — what a manufacturer can legitimately state is that a product is made in an FDA-registered facility, which is a statement about the premises, not about the product.
